Beliefs = Our building blocks of Life.

Idea’s we believe to be true that dictate how we feel about that idea or experiences related to it. Beliefs determine how we show up in this World and whether we react or respond (there IS a difference) to certain situations. They affect the types of relationships we gravitate to, how much money we make, and our overall level of happiness. Beliefs are written in our subconscious, like a page from our very detailed, very personal, manual. Some are empowering and others quite limiting.

Here are some examples:

Some of us believe the early bird gets the worm (I’m still working on this one!). We make it our duty to show up 10 minutes early to every appointment and are out the door in the morning with ample time to grab that java along the way. Other’s believe in their potential and know they can always learn a new skill regardless of what challenges are thrown their way. And some people believe Life is hard – and feel as though they’re doomed to a lifetime of victimization because sh*tty things just keep happening TO them.

How is a belief created? 

From the age of 0-7, we acquire 50% of our core belief system. This means we’re literally little sponges – soaking up all the information fed to us by our parents, friends, people we know and trust, and events we experience. Our collective experiences shape our perceptions and personal reality. With the help of repetition, we discover the rules we’re to abide by and how much creativity or freedom we can express.

Our parents strongly influence the person we become, and if guided by loving, free-spirited souls; you’re sure to expand your awareness and create the Lifestyle You Desire. However, it’s human nature to carry forward what we’ve been taught and any false beliefs (beliefs that limit our ability to manifest or embrace our internal, infinite supply of abundance) can and most likely will be passed down from generation to generation.

The silver lining 
You absolutely have the ability AND power to create supportive beliefs in alignment with YOUR values that EMPOWER YOU to accept your birthright as true – that you are capable of limitless potential in all areas of your Life. You are worthy of living an amazing Life.

Here are a few tips to get you started. 

  1. Tap into Awareness 
    Firstly, discover what your limiting beliefs are. Here are a few guiding questions to help you with this.
    – What aspects of your Life make you feel unhappy?
    – In what areas of your Life are you experiencing resistance?
    – In what areas of your Life do you feel powerless?
  2. Review Your Life Reel 
    Select one area of your Life (from the questions answered above) that you feel has most negatively affected you or held you back. Think of other situations where this false belief has come up.
  3. Gather Evidence in Your Favor
    Think of all the reasons this belief is actually false. Think of every situation affected by this belief and see it from a new perspective – an empowering perspective. Step outside of yourself and view it objectively.
  4. Replace with an Empowering Belief  
    Admit and believe the old belief was false. Feel into the evidence. Then redesign your belief to one that supports you, encourages you, and allows for infinite possibilities.

Let’s shift the script. Let’s celebrate each and every victory, big or small. Let’s celebrate Life and finally start LIVING.
